Horizon Wing Residence

An extended roof wing reaches beyond a tall stone core. Its long timber-lined underside shelters a transparent living edge and broad terrace, making the contrast between anchored mass and projecting plane the central design gesture.

Horizon Wing Residence — Exterior concept study
Architectural Story

The roof is treated as a single elongated wing, its thin outer edge projecting well beyond the main enclosure. A tall stone element anchors the opposite end of the composition, setting a vertical mass against the dominant horizontal gesture. Beneath the canopy, timber lining and a fine rhythm of lights emphasize its depth.

Glazing and slender dark supports keep the living edge visually open, while stone terraces step toward the slope below. The architecture is explored through this measured opposition between a grounded core and an extended plane reaching into the landscape.

Project Scope

Architectural concept development includes extended-canopy massing, stone-core and terrace relationships, material studies, and exterior visualization. The presentation considers the visual balance between a grounded vertical volume and a reaching roof plane, using glass and timber lining to clarify the open space beneath the projection.

Project Information

Horizon Wing Residence is organized around a deliberate contrast between apparent weight and reach, with the stone volume providing a counterpoint to the long canopy. The projection is presented as an architectural design proposition rather than evidence of resolved structural engineering or a construction-ready assembly.
